MISS NEPAL

Pokhara Cable had connection error in our area (Saurav Malla kei garnu paryo), therefore it was a compulsion to watch Miss Nepal 2007. Atleast, I was pretty lucky to be in for just the final round, so I was pretty keen because finally somebody was to take the title away from Sugarika very soon, and of course, Miss Nepal, I believe is more of a messed up shitty program then a beauty contest. I was right in both of my reasons that had enlightened me to be immobile in the bed with Nepal channel switched on. The proof comes next.

The host male had that shitty artificial accent added with those everchanging unmelodious pitches that would have frustrated anyone. But I had patience....a sort of a compulsive patience because I couldn't switch to any other channels. Finally, runner ups were announced, both neither good nor bad, and the former runner ups were called up on the stage while Sugarika(how come she became Miss Nepal) was sitting in that throne. Funniest thing happened then;

FEMALE HOST REPEATEDLY ASKED FORMER RUNNERUPS TO GIVE AWAY THEIR OWN CROWN TO NEW ONES, EMPHASIZING THAT "IT WAS A RULE TO GIVE THEIR""OWN CROWNS"". BUT THE OLDIES WERE RIGID ENOUGH NOT TO GIVE IT TO THEM LUCKILY FOR THEM NEW CROWNS TO BE PRESENTED WERE TAKEN TO THE STAGE SHORTLY. Such a mistake from the host was to be seen on national level beauty contest. Forget about who became miss Nepal, because it was from my own college, some bachelors level basket ball captain, but who cares, because I couldn't see any deserving contestants. And forget it all, because Nepalese program managers have still miles ahead to cross. LIKE PROGRAM MANAGERS OF MISS NEPAL.

PS: No offence intended, but if it is a beauty contest, beautiful girls are to be crowned, with talents.
